Suit measurement question

I have a fairly large rib cage. My chest is a bit sloped and then the rib cage is a bit pushed out. The problem is that even when a suit fits my chest, it pulls tight across my ribs. Is there anything I can look into that could address this problem? Basically I have a big barrel for a torso. It's manly but it makes fitting jackets a bit awkward.

without a photo i cant tell if you have a large chest or what is called in the indusrty a pidgeon chest.
easty to adjust on a custom suit, usually a chest dart will do the trick. this is located under the lapel near the gorge line. this can not be added to a RTW garement

I just have a large torso\ibcage, I'm definitely not pidgeoned chested. Maybe it's just the cut on the suits I've bought in my life. I've never had anything besides OTR.

Sounds like it is to tight just above the stomach so that part should be let out. I believe old henry at LL has a method of a certain kind of dart that he cuts for large ribs. There are lots of guys who's lower ribs are larger. Your body shape is not uncommon.
