Suit jackets - do you wear them buttoned or unbuttoned?

I always wear a 2-piece single breasted 3 button suit and I prefer to keep my suit jacket unbuttoned. It looks and feels better.

How many of you who wear 3 button suits also like to keep your suit jackets unbuttoned. Let's have a poll.

The only time my suit goes unbuttoned is if I'm sitting down or taking the jacket off.

Buttoned. (Especially DBs--late-night talk show hosts notwithstanding.)

Definitely should be buttoned. The coat is styled and fitted for when it is buttoned. You will always look better in a jacket that is buttoned (if it fits you properly).

Buttoned. Unless of course you are sitting.

Now and then if it is hot and I am in a hurry I might unbutton it for a bit.

Just as long as you don't button the bottom button <cringe>

I go both ways on this one. My coats are tight enough through the middle that they do not seem overly large unbuttoned.

-I absolutely agree with this. I think it looks really bad to be wandering around w/a jacket unbuttoned flapping around, etc.

I am afraid that I have to admit that I often wear the suit jacket unbuttoned.
