Suit jacket with slim fit + Trousers with regular fit

I've been scouring the net for budget suits and decided to go for this one:

I was however thinking of getting the jacket in slim fit and the trousers in regular fit. Would this be weird looking?

It worries me when a suit is sold as separates, but at this price point you're looking at this sort of thing. That said, if the top is cut slim I'd recommend slim, flat-fronted trousers as well. Otherwise you'll be messing with the overall aesthetic (the line will be off from top to bottom).

Why would you not want slim fit trousers, too? Slim fit suit pants are never THAT slim fit (like skinny jeans).

Billowy pants might be even worse. You'll look like MC Hammer. Don't worry, you sound young, you'll be fat soon enough.

Slim guys in big clothes look tiny, just light fat guys in clothes that are too tight look huge.

I would avoid mix-and-match with the slim fit. Those lapels make the slim-fittedness of the jacket even more pronounced.

50% wool + 50% polyester = 100% bad idea.
