Usually you want to avoid patterned suit jackets (pinstripes, chalkstripes, glenn plaid, etc.) with such a combination. Solid colors are your friend. Don't skimp on the shoes either.Originally Posted by mrchapel

In my opinion it will not look very good. Suits don`t look good with jeans, and are even difficult to pair with odd trousers (sometimes light colored suits can work). If you want a nice looking jeans look...you really need some sports jackets.I'm thinking about pairing one of my tailored charcoal gray suit with a pair of dark blue jeans.
