No trick!

I think SC as well but I was curious what others thought.

If I am not wrong, there are lots of small squares. I think it would look weird on a suit.

I agree, the pattern looks very "SC" to me, despite the fact that it's charcoal.

SC. Parker had a suit made recently of small houndstooth that would work as both a suit or SC IMO. Sometimes it can work both ways, especially if the jacket has a few SC details.

Can it possibly be a suit? Hope not.

My experience on the subject is very limited but I'd say that it is a sports coat as well.

I own a suit that's pretty similar but with a houndstooth pattern. So I voted suit, but I think it could be used as SC as well.

Either a somewhat unattractive suit jacket or a truly ugly sport coat

I think that it's a suit, but might as well be used as a SC. Very versatile.
