Hey all. Just picked up my first RLBL suit in a 40s. Had slight alterations done, hemmed/tapered pants, and took in the back a bit.

To be honest it feels a bit too tight to me, but my only comparison is a brooks brothers that is definately loose on me. My main issue with the RLBL is in the arms. When they are bent, it feels pretty constricting, can you let me know how this suit fits overall on me?

Thanks in advance, guys....(and sorry for the lack of shoes)

Don't know about the arms, but it looks like it is pulling in the back.

yea, noticed that myself. never really got a good look at the back till that photo. but I can live with some pulling in the back...plus I worked out back a couple hours ago, haha. so hopefully that will be reduced some.

The cut is very good, few fit problems. Sleeve cap too small, too much waist suppression on the back and too deep back hip.

Thanks for the replies. makes me feel better about the fit. Can any alterations be done about the sleeve cap and back issues, or is it too late?

If you had the pants hemmed, why would you not post pics with shoes on?

A suit cannot be judged with bare feet - discard all the comments made - they have no foundation in reality - and start again,

Can be fixed if the inlays are still there.

really? didn't think shoes would make a huge difference. was mostly concerned about the jacket as I thought the pants were an ok fit.

It doesn't make a difference for the jacket. But we can't judge the pants without shoes. And, you look ridiculous without shoes.

What happened to this forum? It's much too tight. The chest and especially the shoulders (the dents). It probably requires a different brand (for the same numerical size cut bigger in a few places).

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
