Suit fit check

Hoping for some insight into the fit of this bespoke suit - I think it generally fits well and looks good outside of a couple of things that are arguably not “correct.” Apologies for the lightning and attempt to fit inside the narrow mirror.

For one, the shirt and jacket sleeves are proportionally lengthed but end far above my wrist. The jacket sleeves were actually shortened to match the shirt sleeves - so I could get the jacket lengthened but couldn’t do anything about the shirt, which is annoying. Second, the collar appears quite large but seems to be a matter of personal preference. But these things aside, the suit seems to look fine even if a few things look off upon closer inspection. Any thoughts as to the fit generally?

As you note, the sleeves are too short. You should wear a different shirt with appropriate sleeve length and have the sleeves on your jacket lengthened.

Jacket collar is a tad big, not hugging your neck. Chest is off, lapels bow out a bit. Jacket is short, sleeves short as you mentioned. Idk why the jacket sleeves are madeproportional to the shirt sleeves, as you can easily buy a shirt with the correct sleeve length.

Would have a conversation with your tailor about the tweaks above. This was bespoke you said? How many fittings did you have to end up at this point?

Yes, and I had a couple. I think the chest may be a product of how I was standing during the initial measurement. The sleeves are a bit more of a mystery - the actual shirt sleeves seem well lengthed if I stand perfectly but will rise up significantly if I move or put on a jacket. That may be what caused the jacket sleeves to appear initially long and subsequently shortened.

Can the chest/collar still be altered at this point?

Should be able. Sleeves definitely need lengthening. The right sleeve looks like it’s midway up your forearm? Your right shoulder looks like it needs attention. As was mentioned, length of the jacket is too short and the chest.

I’m a bit surprised your tailor let you take this home. Hopefully they can rectify it for you.
