I am wondering how people (prepare to) pick a fabric for a suit that they are looking to commission. I realize that one can just go through books and books of swatches at your tailor on the spot, but that can be a bit of a daunting process. Do people review websites or have other ingenious ways to get a sense of what fabric they will pick next?
I have listed below a number of websites that I found more or less helpful:
- Minnis, Harrisons, P&H and others: Andrew Rogers (best source I have come across);
- H&S;
- Scabal;
- Harrisons (not very helpful);
- Charles Clayton;
- VBC; and
- Zegna.
Please add any that I missed.
