So I bought a suit from fellow forum member cksnipe. I think the fit is overall really good for RTW. I feel like the shoulder fit is good. I haven't yet seen a tailor, but I wanted the expert opinion of you gentlemen. Also, I am unexperienced when talking to tailors, so I wanted to make sure when I went in to talk to them I knew how to ask for it.

A couple of notes. The pants are not hemmed, and the vents are still sewn shut. I left my dress shoes at work, so I am not wearing any. The shirt is unironed. I know the tie is crappily knotted. The suit is dark, so the pictures may be a bit dark, my apologies. It's a dark charcoal pinstripe (looks almost black in real life).

I feel the fit from the front is good. If anything the chest is maybe a tad small.

There is a bunch on the back under the collar. I understand that is easily fixable, yes?

I highlighted a couple areas in the back where the coat bunches a tad.

The sleeves are a bit long and I'll get them taken in.

The black tie is probably too much with this suit, so I'll probably pair it with something along these lines:

or

or maybe something with a little more color.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and give me some feedback. I hope the pictures are good enough to use.

looks black. besides that, looks ok. i like how the shoulders look but i think the sleeves are just a smidge too long and the pants are too long. the sleeves are long in my eyes but if you like em, more power to ya. i see what you circles in the back. i'm not sure how you'd fix that, though. Overall, I like it

Yeah, looking at it more I can't decide if it's black or a dark charcoal, so I'll just call it black.

if it is indeed black, you'll find that it won't receive a warm welcome on this forum (or the other one). to me, black suits are pretty wack. but, i dont think your suit is black.

Yeah, I've noticed the not so friendly reception to black. It's darker than it seemed from the pictures, but I find I really like the color with the pin striping. It helps that the material is really nice to the touch. Definitely the nicest garment I've owned so far.

I believe black pinstripes are fine, it's just solid black that will get you in trouble.

It's a nice suit I would get it taken in because its not very slimming especially for being a dark suit. Ditch the ties and go with something brighter

I took a couple more pictures with my arms out a little to illustrate the fit better.

Sorry about the lack of dress shirt.

And no, I really don't have anything better to do on a Friday night.

Yeah, the pictures are really having trouble capturing the fit of the suit. I am always in awe of good photographers.

If I had to guess I'd say the back needs to be let out a bit. The pulling on the back looks bad but I would hope fixable. It would be nice to see what the next size up looks like on you because the front looks pretty good but your back and upper arms look real broad in it. Again hopefully letting out the back will help that. Hopefully you have a good tailor that will get you straightened out.

I removed the white threads (I forget what they are called) holding the vents together and a lot of the bunching around the back of the arms is gone. Amazing what wearing a garment like it's supposed to worn does =)

Sloping shoulder is the reason for the trouble where you have circled. The left shoulder looks also a bit lower than your right. The chest is slightly small. Otherwise the overall look is fine. I would suggest you get a very good tailor to do the work for you specially for the alteration by the blade area. Do not settle for shoulders pads as a quick fix. Lowering the collar and shortening the sleeves are easy jobs. Nice suit.

Looks good.
The sleeves are only slightly a bit long, however I like my sleeves a bit shorter and showing cuff, especially if it's casual.
But other than that ... it looks good.

Looks fine, i would change nothing in the jacket itself.

The sleeves however, they need to be shortened up a bit.
