Gentleman,

This is my first post, so forgive me if I fumble this a bit. I am hoping that someone here may be able to help me obtain certain information about a specific suit color that I saw Ryan Seacrest wear a few years ago while hosting American Idol. After postponing my long extensive search for the suit at various stores (e.g., Saks, Neimans, etc.), I am back on the saddle again and am attempting to go the bespoke route in order to find as close of a match as possible.

The suit I am referring to is a solid very light grey with a slight blue hue to it. I have been told that the color is commonly referred to as "soft grey", "blue grey" and "heather grey". I am a little suspect of the last description as the "heather grey" I know of does not fit the bill. Anyways, if anyone can provide any information (i.e., photo, name of color, type of fabric, weave, label, etc.) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing everyone's response.

Not 100% sure, but I dont think it's birdseye cloth. I would say a fine wool (or wool blend), perhaps maybe even in a sharkskim weave, as it has a slight shine to it. But I could be wrong. I just remember the suit and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

It might have been made for Mr. Seacrest by Oswald Boateng.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
