I'm putting together a two suit ensemble for my conference in vegas next week, and am choosing between the following suits. I was pondering bringing a black suit with gold/brown pinstripe and was wondering if it would be appropriate for general business meetings. I'm deciding between the following suits:

    Suits to choose from:

    Solid Navy Brioni
    Solid Charcoal Oxxford
    Black Gold/Brown Pinstripe Belvest
    Charcoal Pinstripe RLPL (Chester Barrie)

I think the safe choice would be to take the two solid colored suits, and I think almost certainly one of my choices will be the Navy Brioni, but what do you guys think about the other three? Is black inappropriate in your opinion?

I'm bringing a couple white shirts and a couple blue ones, and a variety of ties (red, blue, etc)

Our industry is computer software/sales, but the context is going to be an older demographic (AARP Convention)

    I am a managing director.

That's what I was thinking as well. The RLPL suit is pretty conservative as well, not sure if it's quite as conservative a cut as the Oxxford though, we'll see. What are your guys' thoughts on a red tie with the navy suit, too trumpish? or classic?

Hmm, I have a couple talbott 7 fold ties, blue with orange and a solid blue tie, and a carlo franco medium blue/darker blue tie. Would those work with the Charcoal? I guess I need to match them up but is the typical "power" tie (7 fold/with diff colored stripes) over the top? or conservative enough?

Hmm, i may go with a solid color tie during the day, but I think for a business dinner, perhaps a wide striped 7 fold wouldn't be too outlandish.
