I have no idea what those bottoms are but I think I can get them back to the way they are suppose to be by getting my tailor to remove the black piece of cloth. I dont think any of the original pant leg was removed just that strange piece of fabric added.

You mean the pants are the sloppy part correct with that black piece of cloth?

Looks genuine to me and has full lining. When purchasing in ebay it's important to ask the seller lots of questions about the item just to make sure.

That's a strange thing with the pants. Why would the previous owner want to do flares like that?

Of course. Can't remember any members of Village People wearing pinstripe suits though. I know there was a red indian, a cowboy, a construction worker, a sailor and a biker. :)

I remember some kids widening their flared jeans with non-matching fabrics in the late 1970s. I'm just curious why someone would do such a thing with a probably very expensive 100% cashmere Kiton suit.

LOL The Village People no doubt aye... The reason I got was that the guy who sold it is an actor/model and the pants were tampered with because of a photo shoot or a scene he shot which would also explain the label being removed from the inside of the jacket... Yeah when this thing arrived I could not figure out what the heck i had... =S
