I just had a jacket altered: sides taken in and excess fabric removed in chest area and sleeves shortened for $85. Hemmed pants @$15. These prices apply to a supposedly decent tailor in the DC area.

The waist taken in and hemmed for $22 is quite the deal. I recently paid $40, but I was in a rush and needed it done within 3 hours...and I'm in Manhattan...
