Suggestion of shoes to be worn with denim.

Surprised I didn't find a thread asking this same question with the search function.

I definitely lean much more to the MC side of things than the S&D side. But, I do occasionally find myself out where dress pants or chinos seem a bit out of place.

I'd love to see some suggestions for what would look good with dark denim without being too S&D.

I do like these shoes that vox sports with denim.

Look into chelseas, chukkas, and wingtip oxfords, from your favorite MC-approved shoemaker. In case you had missed the gargantuan "non-sneaker streetwear shoes" thread, which is on page 2 as of this writing... http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=87638 ... Paul Smith, Alden, Allen Edmonds get a lot of rep.

Any chukkas you would suggest I look at?

I do have and like JP's, but I'm looking for something a bit more dressy.

I'm not sure about the quality but I've always liked the shape of the opening ceremony desert boots.

I recently purchased a pair of Boot Co. by Timberland shoes from Revolve and although a bit skeptical at first, upon trying them on a bit around the house yesterday and pairing them with my different jeans and chino's I think they look great as a dressier shoe with a bit more of a casual touch. Their low version chukka's look great, although I got the cap toe as the chukka wasn't available in brown in my size. Comfortable as a pair of sneakers too, good first impression now we'll see how they hold up.

Some of those do look pretty cool. Though I'm looking for something a bit dressier right now, I'll keep those in the back of my mind for later.
