Suggestion for comfortable rubber bottom loafers

Looking for a comfortable rubber bottom loafer/slip-on that is versatile enough to wear with chinos or a suit (although I realize dress shoes will always be better with a suit).

Looking for something really comfortable in the $300 range. Any suggestions?

Pick one:

-- Rubber-soled slip-on shoes with a suit.
-- Being well-dressed.

I guess you could do welted loafers -- tassels or one of those gussted slip-ons (non tacky variety), if you could find a pair with non-obvious rubber soles. I have no idea where to look. I guess you could probably find rubber-soled monkstraps, right? Meermin has them, plus a few pairs of rubber-soled suede loafers, which would be distinctly borderline -- though I might just do them, in a pinch.

With just chinos, you could do drivers or lug-soled penny or bit moccasins with impunity, but those wouldn't really be tasteful with a suit.

Right, so the suit situation will rarely come up. I need something I can wear with dress pants in a business casual setting.

I hate that they're black. The first reads as elderly. The second would be fine in brown.
