I have a hard time finding jeans that fit as I have a Maurice Greene style body --tiny waist (28), slightly large hips (32-33) big thighs (22) and short legs (I'm about 5"9). Due to these weird proportions, its hard to find jeans that look flattering and comfortable at the same time. I have a pair of APC rescues, and they fit just fine-by maybe something even a lil slimmer. I narrowed it down to

-KMW 1950s
-Nudie Straight Svens

Any other suggiestions?

The first thing you'll notice about 21 oz. Iron Heart denim is it's incredible thickness, but also how comfortable and soft it is compared to traditional raw japanese denim. One of the toughest jeans you can buy.

They look great on people with your build, and they've got a really classic cut that can be dressed up or down easily..

Sorry to crash the thread, but Kiya would you say these are true to size ? I'm a 31" true waist but my jeans always fall down onto my hips which are between 32-33. Should i buy a size 31 or 32 ?

Get a size 31, they'll be tight at first, but will stretch 1" or so after about 25 wears.

Get a size 31, just like the above poster.. They'll be a bit tight in the waist at first but the denim does stretch, even though it's extremely thick.
You'll love the fit, and the sheen on this denim is great..

I'm in the same boat you are in terms of body type. I have sizably large hips and thighs with a smaller wait and shorter legs; after much trial and error, I've gotta say the KMW 1950's fit me the best in both the top and lower block. I'd definitely recommend it.

Nom de Guerre Classic Fit are somewhat similar to the KMW 1950s IMHO.
