Seeing the new Diemme boots, it seems that these have become a total fad and should soon be in backlash phase [IMG]

I think it might be closer to backlash than you think.

Go with the former. The distressed leather on the second looks terrible.

    What, no longwing version?

Maybe next season, if shortwings are here, can longwings be far behind ?

    You mean.....for hiking?

No hiking for me, just solid boots which look inspired by hiking boots

I think it might be closer to backlash than you think.

Hiking style boots in general or the wingtip version ?

Hiking boots might not have its fans on SF but it seems they are in hype phase right about now.

^^ Will rethink, but honestly on SF, everything but tweed (edit : and Alden) is in backlash all the time

If I drop, then either the Chiltern in dark brown suede or the Alden Indy in Kudu waxy

Maybe a special order AS captoe boot in dark brown suede with commando sole

I think you'll get more use out of those.

Sounds good, but I personally wouldn't choose a commando sole only for esthetic reasons (if that's what you have in mind).

^^ Actually I am very disappointed with Dainite sole since they have hardly any grip on a wet surface.

I like them but i think the ones you've picked are just too damn ugly. If you compromise you'll just regret it later.

Ah, I understand. Sounds like a good option then.
