I was wearing my suede Sperry outside and it rained on me. Now the suede just looks like crappy leather. I know suede and water don't mix, but is there anyway to bring the suede life back from the dead?

(I'm sure you can actually clean these, just get one of those stones and google around for more info)

Guess I'll just call it lesson learned and buy another pair.

Try with the suede shampoo/foam stuff. Many years ago I had a few suede shoes and had decent results from this, even revived a pair of tan desert boots after wearing them on the job as a barman.

I swore off suede for about twenty years but now im living in a somewhat drier climate I have a few pairs and try to protect them with scotchguard but this will make them a slightly darker shade.

I saw a video, I think posted here, a few months ago where a guy was washing suede shoes with running water and a suede brush. Scrubbed them under the water then put shoe trees in and let them dry, came out great. May be worth a try. I looked but couldn't find the video though.
