suede vs calf shoes

Hello to everybody

I am choosing between a suede and calf shoes, both the same model. I never had suede shoes, so I wonder if they get to obly when you start using them, I mean do they loose hair or similar with use? how do theu look when they get a bit old, I would use al the products for taking care suede,

I use a suede brush to refresh the finish after every few wearings. They can also be refinished by a cobbler if they start to look worn.

What manufacturer and which model of shoes? The quality of the suede will vary depending on the manufacturer. I have Crockett & Jones suede shoes/boots and they've held-up very well. They're generally easier to upkeep than calf shoes. Just get a good suede brush.

I've bought the same shoe in calf & suede & the suede one usually has a nicer looking leather sole.

Just think, suede BB chukkas or calf? The calf has a dainite sole whereas the suede has a nice leather sole who's color compliments the boot.

Hi, thanks for the answers. It´s a lotusse, spanish quality brand, they cost about 300 dollars, so I gess is good suede and good calf. My main worry is how suede looks when gets a little old. Now it looks vey nice, but ...do they loose hair? or what kind of lmpression they produce

yes suede do get old, and look worn over time... but thats what also gives it character.
