I may be mistaken, but as far as I’m aware of espadrilles don’t have laces. Except occasionally on the counter. Those look like derby shoes to me. But you may call them whatever you like.

For reference I’ve included a picture of a pair of Saint Laurent suede espadrilles I own.

The esparto rope sole is the defining characteristic of an espadrille.
A wedge Espadrille looks nothing like a traditional Espadrille. So stop being so petty and anal. And let's see some real photos of your Espadrilles.…with matching bags to boot.
The manufacturer can call them whatever they like. It may have a rope sole but looks nothing like a traditional espadrille. Is the entire midsole made of rope or just the foxing?
