You need to call Shoemart and get on their email distribution list for seconds in your size. They send this email out periodically.

Ok those are great. Do you know what they're called and what last they're on?

Hell, what do you brush them with? I've used rubber brushes, copperwire brushes and sandpaper; all didn't damage the suede.

Do you really think it's sustainable and non-damaging to brush with metal on suede? I bet copperwire brushes do indeed tear on the suede. It's just a matter of how much.

Rubber is the way to go I think. I use a copperwire brush very rarely.

Wilhelm: What are those suede shoes. I like them

They are made to order by Cliff Roberts of Northampton on a bespoke last from Spring Line.

I like this pair ... who made this for RL ?

I don't know, they were made in Italy. I got them at least 15 years ago.
Back then you could buy shoes at the RL outlet stores.

suede shoes piss me off. they can be very nice looking, but you have to count on great weather and an accident-free controlled environment to wear them. as a 20-something in nyc, that happens almost never. i have a beautiful pair of bruni magli brown suede loafers, and i've worn them about 8 times in 5 years.

also, i'd never wear suede with a suit. doesn't look right.

Protective spray is the solution to your first problem. I'm wearing suede all the time and believe me, winter in Berlin has enough snow, wet and dirt.

Your second problem isn't as easy to solve. But it's a bigger one anyway.

I regularly wear suede shoes with suits. I think it gives a more traditional outfit a more distinctive edge. That and the fact that I love suede shoes regardless of what I'm wearing. I like texture in clothes so suede fits right into that.
