@stephenaf2003 maybe I just didn't understand correctly what "selvedge" means.
I thought it was a kind of trouser in which the outseam is cut at the edge of the cloth and so doesn't need to be stitched to prevent fraying.
Is "selvedge" some more/else than I was thinking? Is it, in and by itself, more prone to leak colour?
Thank you for any clarification - I'm a little linguistically challenged. ... :confused2:

Yeah that’s why I mentioned I didn’t know where you get your jeans. I’m speaking from a USA perspective. Obviously it may be different where you are. So, here it’s sort of short hand, when one says Selvedge when referring to jeans, one means unsanforized or “raw” denim. That raw denim will leak color, profusely. Even when dry as someone mentioned above. I don’t even wear it with my light colored calf, because it will leave color on them too.

@stephenaf2003 ... thank you! Now I understand, and agree with you: raw denim will stain anything.
When I was younger we abused and machine washed our new jeans for weeks or months.
After this, they weren't by sure prone to stain anything, and we proudly wore them in public, thinking we were "the man who doesn't have to ask".
Now, looking back, I think that this actually meant "don't you even dare to ask".
    Oh well ...

Great combo! I took my pair on a maiden voyage yesterday, but shamefully didn't take any pics.

Yeah they’re great aren’t they; were you as surprised by how amazing they looked as I was?

Truth be told, I wasn’t sure how I would pair them at first. This is my first pair of “green” footwear. But with the right outfit (I went with wool trousers and a Shetland wool fair isle vest) they are fantastic. I really like the Soller last and the soft suede as well. They are a sort of chameleon boot as well, ranging from olive to grey depending on the lighting and direction of the nap.

Sounds like you are a dapper young fella..lol. That sounds like a great pairing.

I also really, really like the Soller last; my feet are happier with it as opposed to the Rain. I haven’t tried any of their other last’s yet.

A quick check for fit with my AExMD chukkas that arrived today. Wrong color pants, but that’s what I wore today with other boots.
