Is this appropriate? I always felt it was more of a fall/winter thing.

Please do, and often! Dressier, elegant shoes in suede are beautiful classics.

I put away my heavy, dark brogues and bring out my lighter suedes. The texture of the suede makes a big difference.

I am specifically asking about pair of...gasp...Ferragamo suede...gasp...loafers. My wife just told me there are angry men outside carrying torches and shoes....

LOL! Pics? Loafers (while I would not be caught in them myself under any circumstances) always seem rather casual and "summery" to me so that may be even better.

I wear a lot of suede loafers and driving shoes in the summer. Especially coloured ones.

they are fine -- just avoid spring showers.
