Not only are suede shoes appropriate in the summer, they are more appropriate in the summer, in my opinion, than in the other seasons, particularly winter. Suede is a more fragile material than smooth leather and is really out-of-place in rainy or snowy conditions as found in the winter months, when it can get soaked and matted down. I do agree that the lighter shades look better in the summer than the darker ones, but I'd have no problem with wearing my dark-brown suede bals in the summer with a suit or sports jacket/tie outfit.Originally Posted by Roger
I'm guessing most people equate suede with cooler weather has to do with its appearance instead of its function. Because it looks almost "furry," it looks warm. That being said, I agree with you.Originally Posted by Teacher
