what can you do about this? i have a black barbera suede shirt and in some spots where it's rubbed against something it's not looking right. don't know how to describe, but i assume you know. anything OTHER than taking it to a leather cleaner for $50?

Stu - before doing that try a good stiff brush and see if it is just the nap smashed down.

BE VERY CAREFUL before using suede cleaners because if you get the suede wet you are ...screwed.

Stiff brush, rough it up a bit, see where we are.

Use fine sandpaper to restore the nap - but be very careful.

Lance, I would first try raising the nap using a crepe brush, since a suede brush is usually for thicker suede. This is the adivce I was given for my nicer jackets and shoes. Something like this: [IMG] From this website: Dunkelman

Are you any good at painting? If the brush does not work try a light stipple with a sharpie. It's black so it should work.
