2 Questions:
1. Anyone have an idea of who makes the Ralph Lauren Horatio (Made in Italy) Suede loafer, as I wouldn't mind seeing if I could find them for less than $500?
2. What do you think of the following two shoes?

I like them as well but ithink the lobb or eg suede penny loafers are much more elegant and exquisite.

The fact is, you can find penny loafers by eg and lobb on deep discount more easily than other styles like captoe laceups. And especially in suede.
I would hold your thought on those two above , do a little bargain hunting on eg or lobb as you can definitely get them at around 500.

I own the AE Dovers, and they're like slippers (in a good way).

Clearly not EGs, but I think casual shoes like this are what AE does best.

The Horatios are very comfortable. If I am flying or driving a long way to business meetings, I go for the Horatios over the similar colored but dressier C&J loafers. I only have the calf version. The dark brown suede in the photo above was available at Saks, but they ran out of my size. RL carried a rust color suede last year, and has a nicer snuff color on their shelves now. If you can wait, they will likely be on sale in the Fall for 40% off.

The Dovers were available at STP and ebay a few months ago. They have more substantial soles than the Horatio, with a partial rubber covering. My Dad loves his.

I think that suede loafers without that visible contrasting stitching would look a lot better: certainly more elegant. In spite of that, both are nice shoes.

Correction: The AE Keenes are on STP, not Dovers. The Keene is the Venetion version, and is available for $145 (less whatever coupon you can find, like 20%).

I think the classic Weston loafers look particularly good in suede.

I agree with the comment regarding contrast stitching. The Horatio is better in that regards, but still not ideal.

I am not particularly fond of the Keene by AE. I feel that they look plain or too modern, I can't decide which.

Do you have a link EasyGoing?
I wear 11.5 D in AE.
