So, I'm looking to pick up a couple of suede shoes/boots in the upcoming sales, and want to go as versatile as I can. I want one more formal pair, something that could even be worn with a suit from time to time; and another more casual, to go more with cords, jeans, flannel trousers etc. It would also be good to have one in more of an autumn/winter colour, and the other lighter for spring/summer.

What kind of styles (oxford vs derby vs monkstrap for example; or chukka vs chelsea vs jodhpur boot) and colours (darker vs lighter) would you suggest for each?

One pair of Oxfords, possibly with brogueing, one pair of Chelsea boots with rubber soles for bad weather.

One pair oxfords, one pair desert boots/suede chukkas. Both brown, oxfords dark and medium.
