Suede Chukkas Too BIG - HELP!

Purchased a pair of Lands End Chukkas on ebay they are marked sz 13 but seem a bit big - is this European sizing or just incorrectly marked by the manufacturer? They seem to be a size 13.5 as they still fit somewhat and a 14 would be way to loose. If recall correctly Alfred Sargent did shoes for Lands End, if so they maybe Eu sized although I don't understand why Lands End would not size with with US sizing. Anyone have any experience with Lands End shoes?

More importantly what is the best way to make these shoes more snug. Insoles, padding anything that can adjust my feet to the shoe?

I have also recently observed that while my right foot is a D width my left is almost an E and being so either one shoe will be more snug

or one will be loose and in this case my right shoe is loose and the left is almost perfect.

CAN ANYONE HELP

Thanx,

Eli

I was bidding on this pair hoping that they ran a little small. Guess it's a good thing I didn't get them. I believe they are Sargents.

Are those just for the heel and arch or do they extend all the way to the toes?

Full foot. They are size 15 or something so you just cut them down to size. Piece of piss!

If it's just half a size, try insoles (just try different kinds at the store, see which one works best).
If it's more that that, insoles might not to the trick; then, you could think about a really thick pair of wool socks for winter.

Wash them and then throw them in the dryer on high for 30 minutes. Sorted.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
