I would like to buy my first pair of suede chukka boots.... yup.
They are meant to be worn in summer. Would you guys prefer unlined or lined version?

I have a pair of the brown suede lined alden chukas that I really like. I don't like unlined shoes in general.

Out of interest what size are you? I have some brown suede chukkas from Grenson in UK7.5F brand new in box which I am looking to sell?

My size is 9.5 UK. Also the grenson chukka boot is not really what I am after.

I'm the expert on the subject. ha

I wear lined, because at the price of a good pair (I wear FM Allen's version) I refuse to wear an unlined shoe. Lined are so much for comfortable and durable.

Great choice. Nothing looks better with a natural colored jean or lightweight trouser.

Part of the reason for unlined is for comfort, and to counteract the summer heat.

I have both lined and unlined. I will say that if they fit your feet well, unlined are more comfortable in the summer. In the grand scheme of things I wouldn't use it as a deciding factor.

I like to take into account the durability as suggested, since I need to get some more shoes and will only get one pair of suede chukkas for now. I can imagine that the lined version will hold up better.

I agree that lined is the best way to go for long term durability. Unless it's scorching where you live, you feet shouldn't notice the difference.
