Subtle Change in Cut and Fit of Cording's wide wale corduroy trousers?

I purchased twice two pairs of Cording's wide wale corduroy trousers. The more recent purchase several months ago seems to have a different cut than my earlier purchase about two years ago. Has anyone noticed a difference?

RTW without belt loops as Cording's wide wale trousers are quite problematic. I find the later trousers ill fitting - hanging on the hips etc. and do not want to repeat this.

Have you laid one over the other to establish if they have changed?

No, I admit I have not yet done that. It is indeed a good idea and I believe I can do it rather soon, since I wash my Cords immediately after wear. To the objection that shrinkage may be the cause of a difference, I can only say that before I get my trousers altered to my specific length, I subject them to a multiple wash-dry torture which should provoke whatever significant shrinkage is possible. However, one of the two newer wide wale corduroy trousers began to unravel at the crotch, so I have burdened an aunt I adopted with the Task of repair. The other of the two pairs is waiting for my comparison, which I shall execute very soon. Of course one might ask why haven't you compaired them before? Because I am fixed on the result - i.e. how they fit on me. In this case of daily life, I forgot the almost two-dimensional measurement. Perhaps i shall make an important discoverey. What I have compared is the design of the trouser lining when a few pairs were hung to dry. I could recognise no difference. I shall Report when I return to Internet, which is usually delayed.
