I'm gonna jump in and say the auction will be for a pair of MTO calfskin shoes only. Shoe trees are available for purchase and upgrades to shell cordovan or alligator are available for retail price difference upcharge. Shell is generally about $500+ more and gator is generally about $4400+ more.
YA'LL READY TO PLAY?!?!?!?!
Our sixth, and very special, auction for the Annual Holiday Drive, this year for the Ronald McDonald House Charities will be for a pair of calfskin MTO Edward Green footwear, (customer has the option to upgrade to shell cordovan or gator options at retail cost) courtesy of Tom Park of Leather Soul Hawaii.
Tom and I met in person for the first time this past May during the SF10 celebrations, and he is one of the warmest guys around. We’d talked for years before that, and I wished that I’d met him earlier. And he is remarkably accomplished as well.
Tom was named the SBA Young Entrepreneur for the state of Hawaii in 2008. Leather Soul was named Hawaii’s #9 fastest growing company in 2010 and #10 fastest growing company in 2011 by the Pacific Business News. In addition to two locations in Hawaii, there is a Leather Soul outpost in Beverly Hills. He carries some of the most storied men’s shoes in the world, including the American Stalwart Alden, my personal go to, country boot specialist Tricker’s, forum favorite John Lobb, hand welted St. Crispin’s, and to bring us back to the subject at hand, Edward Greens, another forum favorite. (The 888 last is great, I’ve decided, not only because of the shape, but because you really can’t get a luckier number in Chinese numerology.)
Our bidding for your pair of Edward Green MTO footwear starts at $500. That’s $500 for something in excess of $1500 retail that is made just for you. Let’s get the bidding started. Please post your bids here, in increments of $10 or more, or PM me to place an anonymous bid for you. This very special auction will actually end at 12 p.m. EST on Monday, December 17, so those on the West Coast who really want in on this: don’t sleep in.
Let’s get this moving, gentlemen.
Cheers and good luck to all,
I'm going to guess, by this picture of other ways you spend your money, that you are going for the gator.
In for dieworkwear.
COME AT ME BROS!
$800...though I know there is fierce competition, I'll wait to hit my personal limit before the adults take over
THIS plus a slight bump to $ 1100
Not sure what that means, but we'll take that $1100 bid.
you got it right.
