Kamakura is an option for you. They have a great shop on Madison. I love their shirts.

I dont like anything I cant hold in my hand before buying.

All Natty shirts are made to order using your measurements. No need to put your hands on these, you measure correctly (they provide video instruction) and the shirts will fit better than store bought.

Seemingly a great topic for some of us.

I tried TM Lewin ... short story long .... it was tight in the collar and just barely passable in shirt sleeve length. I wore it once and then didn't follow the proper wash instructions (I just sent it out to the cleaners without special instructions) .... it shrank over an inch in the sleeves and it was toast. I ordered a second. The collar was ever tighter ... I couldn't button the button out of the package without a fight. I sent it back.

I would try again going 1/2" bigger, but a) 1/2' bigger in sleeves is $15 extra (if in stock at all) and b) the collar points are a bit short for my taste anyway.

Lewin quality seemed quite good. By way of comparison, they seemed much better than my last couple BB shirts. I got a BB light blue check today in the mail that's a good 1/2" shorter in the sleeves than other models of the same measurement, and the cloth was so thin that even in blue I'd feel compelled to wear an undershirt. I'm sending it back. A white FC from the Gatsby collection is okay but thin and the sleeves are shortish too ... but a keeper. (I love a blue non-iron Gatsby I got a couple months ago.)

Per CT customer service, their collar points are 1/2" longer than Lewin so I ordered a batch of those, in white. If I really like those, I might try blue...but I don't like their blue options based on their website...their best non-iron blue option is close to french and I prefer something lighter...their lighter shades are all hairline stripe.

So, I really need to find a maker in that price range for blue...I need a batch soon. Moderate spread, decent collar point length (3"+). Right now, I'm probably inclined to get the John Nordstrom signature slim twill on sale....I've had good luck with those lately.
