I was disturbed by this sentence. How desirable is a stylist who takes her sartorial cues from the evolution of style as defined by the NBA ?

Also, I'm not quite sure what she means by "custom made." She has pinned the entire back of the suit down for alterations, which apparently will be ready in 4 days. Is she using the term "custom made" when she should be saying "tailored"?

Didn't quite get there. I couldn't stop staring at his hair.

Pro stylists and fashion advisors can earn ridiculous amounts of money doing that kind of work...just look at Bieber, never seen him wear non-tacky clothes and/or suits, and yet there's someone making a living dressing him up.

Likely an example of people not knowing what "custom" means. To be honest, I get confused when people refer to custom clothing. I feel it's a nice catch-all and an even better way to make someone feel warm and fuzzy about run of the mill tailoring.

I actually had a conversation in a club in Chicago with a NFL player about the bespoke process when he commented on my suit. Needless to say I was welcomed with blank stares.

This article admittedly has me conflicted. Clearly there are "stylists" and "journalists" out there that have no problem forgoing research or accuracy when discussing men's clothing. But at the same time there are athletes out there willing to make an investment in their style and dressing (at least in some minor way) to a higher standard. I'll take one-day-turnaround custom suits from Joseph Abboud over graphic tees and baggy jeans any day of the week.

custom - fit to body. no one in reality gives a **** about MTO or bespoke, let alone knows the definition of those terms.

If she's styling Amar'e and LeBron she's doing quite nicely. Both of them look great every time you see them interviewed.

From her quotes, it sounds as though she knows what she's doing. I'll probably be watching on Thursday night, so I'll have to try and remember to keep an eye out for Poe to see how he looks.

Poe went to the Chiefs at number 11. The suit looked good, but what I'm going to remember is that he stayed on his phone for nearly 5 minutes after his name was called, leaving the commissioner hanging on stage waiting for Poe to come out and shake hands. I wonder who was on the phone that was so important it couldn't be interrupted to out and be happy you just got drafted.

It's usually the HC or GM of the team that just drafted you.

I figured as much, but boy, what a long conversation. Shouldn't they just welcome him to the team and then let him get out on stage?
