Why would this be controversial? It's the best-designed folding bike on the market. I have had one for years and use it as my every day commuter.

I think I've found a replacement for my usual Bloc Rhodia no. 16's

That one is Japanese. I have the Hattori FH Gyuto which is fantastic and I use it probably 90% of the time when I'm cooking. I would love to get a KD but as they are all handmade and Mr. Hattori is now in his 70s it's probably not gonna happen. (Plus my wife might turn around and use the knife on me if she found out I dropped over a grand on a knife.) Anyway, I thought it was appropriate for this thread since it is for me the epitome of both style and function.

If you like traditional Western style knives, the Kramers are amazing and virtually unobtainable too. I think he sells them by lottery now.

Lol, you got me there! :D It's beautiful in real life, I just think the earlier SL is more photogenic. Sounds like a beast as well (SL350).

I wish I had bought these over the Senn HD650's, they're bat-shit sexy..

I'd say the Baobab tree found in many countries all over Africa is a beautiful thing. I admire it because it's one of the things that made a great impression on me as a kid living in Botswana. I have visited great redwood forrests in California, I have seen rainforrests in Indonesia and I have visited really old forrests in Europe. The Baobab is still my favourite though. It is majestic, quite rightfully considered divine by local folklore and lives for thousands of years where rain falls scarcely or not at all. Plus, they're huge.

    Leicas do have style.

But there is also something beautiful about sheer functionality.
