Here's my list of the stylish Network TV Newscasters of the past and present on the Big 3 Networks.
1.)Brian Williams (NBC Nightly News anchorman) - knows what style is, he mostly wears dark colored single-breasted suits, with light colored dress shirts, and dark and sometimes light colored neckties. I think he's a fan of Zegna like Matt Lauer.
2.)Peter Jennings (RIP) (ABC News from 1964-2005) - The Canadian born High School dropout was the youngest network TV newsman and some say inexperienced in 1965 to 1967. He came back (with the late greats Frank Reynolds who died in July 1983 from bone cancer/hepatitis and newcomer and first black network TV newsanchor Max Robinson who died from AIDS in late 1988) in July 1978 revamped as World News Tonight (now World News with Diane Sawyer) after Reasoner returned to CBS after 8 years on ABC, and not getting along with Barbara Walters during 1976-1978. In his early years, he worned Ivy League stuff, like tab-collar dress shirts, or collar with collarbar under the tie (with a 4 in hand knot). Before his lung cancer death in 2005, he was a fan of Brioni.
3.)Tom Brokaw (Former NBC Nightly News anchorman) - He mostly wears Southwick suits I heard. Stylish in double breasted navy blazers. Handsome and tailored clothing he had on over the years.
4.)Dan Rather (Former CBS Evening News anchor, now with HDNet) - Wears braces mostly, really high-end Alexander Kabbaz shirts, and once tied neckties in windsor knots in the 1970s-early 1980s before replacing Cronkite.
5.)Walter Cronkite (RIP) (Rather's predecessor) - Worned windsor knots, handsome clothes. I've heard that he used to wear Oxxford suits so as the late David Brinkley.
Who's your favorite stylish network TV newscaster (both living and dead)?
