I have been building a wardrobe with a lot of earth tones (Brown, Maroon, Wine, Amber, Dark Greens, Tans) . I saw some suede shoes I like but I am not sure the temperature is right for my wardrobe.

What do you guys think? Will these shoes go with an earth tone pallete?

And do you have any images for inspiration?

Yes of course. It looks like a light brown/snuff color which is pretty versatile.

Thank you! I’m still learning to creat harmonious outfits

color is one thing. The style of the boot/shoe is another. Those would pair well with denim and cotton chinos, but for me the lugged sole (maybe a commando sole? Can’t tell from pic) would knock it down on the formality scale. I’m not sure I’d wear those with wool slacks.

But that’s just me. I’m only saying that because color is but one variable when if comes to creating a harmonious outfit.

Yes I understand. I need to think a bit more about how I want to wear them.

I feel like I can dress down a more formal show but I am not sure I can dress up a show that is more casual.

Those boots are best suited to a pretty casual outfit -- jeans, moleskin or corduroy trousers, some chinos/khakis. If you want something you can wear with wool trousers, look at a dark brown suede chukka as an example.

There’s a certain level of tolerance built into it depending on the materials and colors. with a few tweaks, the boot you presented would be more versatile.
