I remember someone posting a link to some adult tumbler or something like that and a member here went through every single picture and posted commentary for every chick on the site. This was before links to nudity was banned. I still remember one of the comments had to do with a girl and a giant **** teddy bear she was humping.
I believe that was amerikajinda who went on a lengthy evaluation of various Asian girls' beauty. I think the **** stuff was separate. Having that much immediate recall of random dudes sexual preferences means I should probably kill myself

What did I miss? I can't believe I've been reading this forum for 16 years.

Procrastinating and reading about shoes got me through graduate school.
I still have my Edward Green boots from the first Asprey closing sale and an assortment of Grenson Masterpiece from the first Paul Stuart blowout. And U remember the JM Weston sale as my first time I met Poorsod.

I still have my pair of JM Weston’s from that sale. I was still new to SF and think I paid $200-250 for the pair. It was the most I had ever paid for shoes at the time and I considered it exorbitant. Then SF makes you think that G&G is fairly priced because it is so much cheaper than bespoke JLP.

I had completely missed that this thread was posted. Of course I'd like to thank StyFo for everything that's happened since I joined. If it wasn't for SF I probably wouldn't have started my own menswear company, I definitely wouldn't have had the chance of going to Pitti as a representative for the forum, and I wouldn't have landed my current job as editor in chief of a menswear magazine, and bought a tailoring house.

So, thank you Fok and everyone else around here for everything. Styleforum has earned me a great deal of friends all over the world, and continuous to do so.

Cheers!

I'm wearing the tie I won through this thread from @gshen and Vanda Fine Clothing today. This is my first tie from Vanda and I took some inspiration from a recent post in their affiliate thread and went with a a hopsack tie.

My selfie game isn’t any good, but here you go!

So good. Very spring. But yes, you're selfie skills are possibly worse than mine, which are pretty bad.

I'm also a fellow refugee from GQ Forums. Don't remember who on the site directed me here . Obviously I have never left - apart from 1 or 2 time outs. Anyway, I never posted as much in the clothing sections as in the non-clothing parts - I prefer to lurk more than chat unless I have a specific question. I have also been fortunate enough to meet many DC area (and a few NYC and other) members and become good friends with a few of them.

So who's planning the next DC area meetup?

It's so good to see so many OG members chiming in here. We hope to have something in NYC in the fall, but no immediate plans for DC, unfortunately. Maybe come to NYC?

Came here from Niketalk back during undergrad. Learned a lot, still learning a lot actually. Don't nearly post as often as I should, mainly lurk the WAYWT threads and other brands that I like for inspiration. Happy 16th Styleforum!

Just out of curiousity, coming from Niketalk, you probably came for the Streetwear&Denim side of things? How has that evolved in the ensuing eight years?

Yup, came here for SW&D in the beginning. Now I'm more interested in tailoring, so spend most of my time on this site looking through CM. It's probably about 80/20 between CM and SW&D now

I cannot remember what brought me to Styleforum. IIRC, I had found a pair of Alden boots at a local store and really liked them but couldn't believe how expensive they were so I turned to the internet to read up about them and think I was pointed here to the Alden thread that seemed to never end. What an expensive rabbit hole that lead me down!

I’m not certain how I got here, but I think a comment on AAAC mentioned SF. I never looked back.
