I think you woke be an 8 but would be helpful to know a few other sizes. I believe Mike's post on pg1 specifically talks about sizing compared to the older style trainers you have

yeah, looks like you're right. he suggests dropping .5 from that sport trainer. i feel like i am safe in that sizing then. but i suppose for more reference, I wear an 8 in MMM GATs and those fit perfectly.

I haven't read any posts about polishing sneakers...If you're referring to my posts I was only talking about conditioning them in time and trying to change the color...It is shell cordovan don't you know.

I would say yes, 8.5 is correct.

Due to your coloring advice, I picked up a pair of Navy..thanks rydenfan....

I hope I can do the black polish thing right...A poster here advised using a spoon to burnish it in but I don't think he realized that this particular shell was not as thick as Horweens...

There are 14 Navys left..After midnight this morning there were 22 pairs left...

I don't understand how people are getting radically different results with the comparisons Mike suggested. Yesterday at DSW, I tried on Chucks in size US9/UK9/EU42.5. (Half-sizes were not available.) The fit was spot on, confirming that my size is US9.5.

So, I normally wear an 8-8.5 in most shoes, but since it was suggested that I size like a low top chuck so I went to try to size in those, and I fit about a 7-7.5. with thin socks on. Should I shoot for a 7.5 or an 8?
