I'm getting a new custom overcoat made with an 18 oz. dark brown covert cloth. While I'm leaning towards getting a classic double-breasted with turnback cuffs, I remain uncertain.

Any suggestions on different styles that may look good in such a cloth? Btw, I have no interest in a covert coat.

That's exactly how I would get it, so no.

I hope that was helpful.

Mine doesn't even have the turnback cuffs.

That is what I did. Perhaps a shade or two lighter than espresso.

Bruce Boyer has a covert cloth DB overcoat. No extraneous details as I recall. It is quite nice, and I like it a lot better than a true covert coat.

A&S offers their own covert cloth from Fox, which is a lot better than the standard stuff in this application.
A warmer tan, without the greenish cast that normal covert reflects.

Pardon the ignorance, but what is covert cloth and what is a true covert coat? Thanks!

The cloth itself is a tight, two color twill in brown and off white that looks deep tan. Usually the color is called "fawn" because it looks like the color of deer fur.

"action" back, box pleats and a half belt.

Thanks everyone.

Actually, my cloth isn't the fawn colored covert that one sees everywhere. Its legitimately a very dark brown covert cloth - looks amazing!
