Well, there's always the "more advanced" forum... [IMG]

Ah, yes. Dare you exile yourself to Devil's Island? [IMG]

All the clothing topics have been done to death. The people who are still around spend more time in the General forums than the main forums. We all know each other, know what we wear, like, don't like, etc. Since there is hardly anything left to say about clothes, we talk about other things. It was bound to happen.
yeah, Andys has kept itself up as a knowledge based site, but (to dip into yet another of AC's simile library), SF is like a dive bar, where everybody knows your name and where Sam and Diane are fighting again and Coach is...oh wait thats somewhere else.

But Manton's penetrating insight is timeless.

Perhaps those of us who cut our sartorial teeth here have an obligation to illuminate the fresh crop of newbies in search of guidance.

Then again, perhaps we can dispense with presumption. After all, there is a search function.

I always liked LAGuy's bar analogy. The core of regulars have already argued at length all of the traditional bar arguments: best team, hottest chick, etc. So when a new guy comes in and tries to bring those things up, we can get a little churlish. Maybe we shouldn't. But still, it's bound to happen.

So the question is, if we are like a bar, who is this Moe's Tavern's Barney :-D ?

So which site is Gary's Old Towne Tavern? Filmnoirbuff? Andy's?

The London Lounge is definitely the restaurant upstairs.
