Style Forum Hates DC, LA, and San Fran Members (Cursed Search Function)

Seriously. It's impossible to search for "DC." I think the forum search engine only looks for terms of three characters or more. I want to find names of decent DC-area thrift stores, but I simply can't do it. Same problem applies to LA, SF, etc.

Is there any way to modify this on the moderator side? Something I can do to get around it when I search (or am I doing something wrong)? Should the members make a point of not using two-letter abbreviations?

why not search for "DC thrift stores"?

I turned up a handful of threads with information in it, and one person in particular you might want to PM, Ambulance Chaser...

DC is omitted because it is less than the 3 character minimum found in most forum (vBulletin) search engines.
