I'm looking for books that are a good starting point for style revamps. A good one i've had recommended is Dress for Success by Lance Mason. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any other must haves for getting the style on track and cutting edge?

Dandy in the Underworld. Just don't take it literally.

The thread title looks like a word game where the participants have to find the next expression that should follow, I propose "small penis".

On a more serious note I'd stick around here instead, the dynamic nature of an interactive space such as this one will certainly provide more up to date and verifiable information than a book ever could, at least for your purpose.

Well thanks for completing the word game for me. Appreciate the maturity level on this one.

Let's just say that I think applying the term "alpha male" to the human species is unforgivable and using that as a book title/catch phrase to shill some style guide sounds even worse. The second paragraph was serious though, do stick around.

Fuuma and Doc's recommendation should serve your purpose well.

These two, in this order. Afterwards, after you learned the basics you can look around here to find ideas for your own style. But basics first. Besides, reading these books will save you from asking a lot of unnecessary questions here for which you'd only get bashed.

only 'dress for success' tip is white-ify yourself as much as possible. being well-dressed within that subset won't matter to your success

I find it strange that both chapters.ca and amazon.ca aren't able to find this book. Amazon.com is. I just prefer to write .ca at the end of things...much closer to home and 1/3 less to write.
