I will have to let Alex answer that, since I have no idea.

Many thanks for the kind words, penance!

@ synthese, where did you go for tsukemen pleaes?

Place called "Itsuki" - had very high reviews. If you love THICK broth and happen to be in the middle of nowhere doing indigo dying, highly recommended:

I know this is a joke comment (and it's funny) but it's also a testament to just how awesome this community is - I think I've now reached the double-digits for SFers that I've met in real life now and every single encounter has been a positive one. I'm pretty sure that I'd like hanging out with a couple dudes here more than my "real" friends, whatever that thin line might be.

Just finally sitting down now to catch my breath after a whirlwind couple days, but just wanted to note that it was fantastic to meet @Rosenrot and @Auximenes + wife (let's hang out again soon!!), not to mention our previously detailed adventures with Jack and Jasper in the indigo mines.

The indigo stuff is still settling -- after dyeing, we need to let it sit in cold water overnight and then wash once by itself to get rid of dye that hasn't set. I'll have some pics of my stuff tomorrow as I had to do the regular laundry first :)

yeah, first time outside the US too

whoa!

Japan has got to be one hell of a first experience out of the country. Mine was England and I thought that was pretty different. I hope we get to hear more from your perspective on what the trip was like for you.
