1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Gentlemen, I just added a pair of Grenson shoes on Ebay. I bought those from Bennie's and they are just slightly too small for me. Let's see at how much they end up on Ebay - They look fantastic. My Ebay Items [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] My Ebay Items

Isn't this the Canterbury Semi-brogue in the Footmaster line, not a masterpiece? At least that's what it looks like on Pediwear's site: Grenson Canterbury

These look like Masterpieces to me, though I am no expert. The channeled-sole, oval cutout with model #, and faint signs of burnishing on the toe lead me to this conclusion.

Yep, look like Masterpieces to me for the same reasons. Looks like there's a lot of interest in the auction already.

Yes, these shoes come from the Masterpiece range.

    Many thanks for your interest.

They are beautiful shoes, no doubt. But if anyone actually bothers to go to Grenson's website and click on the Footmaster line (and the Masterpiece line as well, for that matter) in the left hand Shoe Browser box they will clearly see that they are, in fact, Footmaster's (the Canterbury) and not Masterpiece's. Genson's Just my two cents.

I think you are missing the above mentioned points:" The channeled-sole, oval cutout with model #, and faint signs of burnishing on the toe lead me to this conclusion." That it appears to be the same does not mean that it is. Because they are not shown in the current Masterpiece lineup does not mean that they are not Masterpieces. That they are most likely an older model makes referencing current catalogues moot, IMO. That and sometimes individual models are manufactured exclusively for individual resellers, to their own specifications.

Those are definitely masterpieces. I have both the Rugby and that shoe, and they are absolutely identical except for the broguing, the Rugby is definitely a Masterpiece and this one is exactly the same quality, Paul Stuart probably requested the same shoe to be made to Masterpiece specifications.

    Thanks for the info.
Apologies if it seemed I was, in any way, trying to cast doubt on anyone's integrity or knowledge.
I learn something new every time I visit this forum.
