Striped suit w/ striped Shirt

Is this combo okay? To my eye I really like the look but I know doubling up on stripes can be risky. My thought is that the weight on the shirt stripe is a little heavier and the suit stripes are subtle enough to allow it.

You are like to many over thinking this. Forget about the concept of 'rules' so fondly implied by many newcomers who can't dress themselves. If it looks right it in the context of the function that you are attending it probably is.
