Only in strollers and morning suits or streetwear.

It depends very much on the fabric and stripes.
If they look like suit pants >>> No deal
If they don't like suit pants >>> Deal (maybe)

I rather like it. It takes the proper shirt/jacket to pull it off.

When, oh WHEN will Express and stripey shirts and Banana Rep. be acceptable? On what fated day will the stars align and the demon AmJack shall be banished??

The Ben Silver catalogue that arrived today had an offering in summer white flannel with a widely spaced dark blue stripe. Darned good looking, while seldom available today. I even liked them at full price.

I like odd striped trousers.

I like them with a black jacket.

Then again, I like these things with a wing collar, linen bands around the neck, a black gown and a horsehair wig.

Striped trousers as daywear are a throwback to the morning-suit era, still preserved by some barristers (especially in London). Not a bad look, but needs some serious gravitas to do it well...

I wear them. Mine are even made by Banana Republic (ohh the horror). Sometimes even with a stripy shirt (different size stripes than the pants). No Kenneth Cole shoes however.

I have a few pairs - none from a particularly good mfg (certainly no Incotex, lol). However, I like them for say clubs and the like, better than just plain monochromatic trousers IMHO.

P.s. I would buy Incotex pin/chalk striped trousers in a flash if I found them at a good price.

Conservative colors, with something to draw attention toward the face.

Seldom flattering on the long-legged.
