stretch question

Someone said that regardless the waist size you get, they will stretch to your waist. So if you buy a 31 or a 32 and ur a 34 waist.. they will stretch to that. What i dont know is whether the rear area of jeans around the pockets will stretch just as much with 31's then with 32's. If stretching of the waist to accomodate your waist is unavoidable, then i would at least like to stay with 31's if they maintain a tighter rear fit then 32's would. I know we really have to talk specifics since denim can vary, my pet peeve is that fold over you get just under the waist area of the denim because the butt area is loose and the waist is tightened. That's the only reason i wanna go as tight as possible and hope that the rear stretches less.

I guess what im trying to say is that there would be no point of down sizing if everything stretches to accomodate. Something has to remain tighter, like the ass area as i hope.
