Hi, seems the post has been lost so sorry to ask it again but there were good recommendations on there last time. So once again...

1. What are the five or so 'must see' streetwear stores in these cities - SF, NYC and Toronto? I'm looking for mainly denim and t-shirts, polos (summer wear)

2. Can anyone suggest a half decent RTW suit that would be available in NYC? Requirements - available in 36R, slimmish fitting, suitable for office, side vent, flat front, 2 button sb, not a sack suit, under $600. doesn't need to be canvassed but of a decent quality. Saw h&m suits, but consensus seems to be they are bad bad quality. Would try a get a zegna from woodbury or c21 but probably a bit too boxy/constructed for my tastes. dont like my chances with corneliani or canala either but I will try find some to try on when im over there. asking on this forum and not the mens style one as the ppl on here may know some of the cheaper brands. ive also heard Benetton and sisley rec'd elsewhere. Are these total crap also? trying to find something between the crap and the high end stuff.

Thanks in advance!

Def check out C21. With a bit of hunting, you should be able to find something that will fit the bill. There's also a fairly good amount of cheap, interesting streetwear if you look.

My lost NYC streetwear recs, plus a few additions:

Steven Alan
Odin
Famous Friends
Barneys Co-Op
Atrium
Nom de Guerre (though I don't go there all that much)
Opening Ceremony

As for suits, try Sacque (definitely not sack) Suits at Bloomies or Atrium.

Uncle Otis also has Spruce, and carries some Jay Allen tees as well.

Hey guys thanks for all your recs.

I managed to visit many of the recommended stores.

For suits I ended up buying two h&m slim fits… blasphemy I know. but they fit me perfectly better than any other suit ive worn with no alteration. Hopefully they’ll last 12 months.

Picked up apc new standards and rescues in soho.

Very last stop was nomad and very glad I did. copped a spruce slim fit tiger fleece hoodie. Now I know why everyone is raving about these. Dope as hell.

Go to Patricia Fields on Bowery. You won't buy anything, but you have to go. Same with a bathing ape on greene street, jack spade on greene, that diesel shop with the cool signage, supreme, and Bergdorf's. Canal street is concentrated new york.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
