I have been thinking about buying a Stowa Flieger Automatik. I would be interested on peoples' thoughts on the watch (e.g. quality, value, look) and/or alternative flieger models...

Thanks!

The Stowa Flieger is an excellent watch for the money, and it is nice that there are several models available (logo, no logo, date, no date).

Stowa is a very good company.

Similar Fliegers in that price range would include Steinhart, Laco, Archimede, etc.... They will all employ the Eta 2824-2 movement.

The COSC upgrade is a nice option on the Stowas. I don't think it really results in a functionally better movement, but it does result in an aesthetically nicer movementas well as faster delivery times in some cases.

I second venessian's suggestions of Archimede, Steinhart and Laco. All produce great watches at fantastic prices, in a range of movements and styles.

You could also check Tourby, who allow you to customize your watch if you can't find exactly what you want elsewhere.

SINN 656
$1,040.00

There is a good recent thread discussing many of these watches going on here.
