Hi guys, I wore the black calf Chelseas out for the third time today, and after lightly scuffing the shoe while on a short walk this happened:

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do to fix this? Pretty upset that this happened, I was really enjoying these boots.

Ouch, that hurts. I imagine you could just use black polish to cover it up, right?

Email him, for brand new shoes that's unacceptable (and also very weird).

Welp. I guess my hunt for Chelsea boots continues and Style Et Fall is off the list.

I don't know about the calf leather, but I can vouch for the quality of the suede.

How is that even remotely their fault? Please tell us more of the story of how you bumped your boots somewhere after your short walk. I'd just apply black wax and call it a day.

Well, that, their crappy website, and that I got no response from my query the other day trying to get a feel for their products... probably end up going in another direction.

By no means do I mean to discredit the brand, I was just not sure how to deal with the damage. I will try a black polish/wax tomorrow. I will say that Lian has always been very responsive and helpful with any questions that I have had. I am quite satisfied with the service that I have received.

I've been abusing my suede pair for however long now and it's been fine but wow, that looks like it's not full-grain leather -- i'm not just seeing things, right?

Looking for sizing advice for Tan Suede Sidezips...

I measured between a 40.5 and 41 on Lian's size guide. He recommends going down to a 40 for a snug fit...I feel like he meant to say 40.5 as a 40 seems way too small. I measured my foot in thicker socks than normal as I will prob be wearing them in the fall/winter.

For what it's worth I wear a 9 in Nike (flyknit lunar 1's). 8.5 in Redwing work chukkas.

41 is a 7.5 UK/8.5 US. Unless you're searching for a mythical 7.25, go for the 41. You can always put in an insole.

If the side zips fit the same as the jodhpurs, I would say go for the 40.5.
